Beck’s Brewery, also known as Brauerei Beck & Co., is a brewery in the northern German city of Bremen. In 2001, Interbrew agreed to buy Brauerei Beck for 1.8 billion euro; at that time it was the fourth largest brewer in Germany.

Red Stripe
One of the most popular theories of how we got our name is that the beer was named from the red stripe that runs down the side of the uniform of the Jamaican police.
Former employees recall that one day, brewmaster Paul Geddes was stopped by a police officer, who was doing a routine spot check when someone from the brewhouse called out to ask him what name they should give the new beer.
